Lake Laurentian Environmental Education Center

Located in Sudbury, on Lake Laurentian this mass timber ecology center was designed for the community as a space for kids from the local schools to come and learn hands on about the local environment as well as for the public to come enjoy community events. The Ecology Center has a administration space, three large interior classrooms, 2 exterior classrooms, a large atrium this building is constructed from a wood post a beam structure that is continuously expressed throughout the building. Each of the roof levels have accessible green roofs that have the functional properties as well can be used for research and teaching.
